That is such a moving story. I think she should have gone with him. A soldier's wife surrounded by the love of her man would be more fulfilling than a marriage to a man she doesn't know.

It’s Jewel from “To seduce a scribe”, she’s a bit… vain and frivolous. She is older, but not wiser. Maybe one day I’ll write a story how she runs away from her wedding to find her beloved soldier…😌

I loved this one, too, despite the sad ending. It seems that her father gave her a test of her love, and she failed.

Another well told tale. Don't think it was too cliché. Liked the cyclical start and finish about the sun light shining through the trees. Think at the end of the day there was alot of competition and your story wasn't quite what the editor was looking for. Remember it depends what editor is looking at your work. Just because a story is rejected by an editor doesn't mean the is no good.
