A happy ending? No, but satisfying, and the one this story needed. With the story of Aereus and Ani now concluded, I can safely say this is among your best works.
No happy ending? There is plenty of sorrow, but Aereus, son of Aereus lives on to bring peace to the land when he grows up... a very satisfying ending!
You must understand - my characters’ thoughts, beliefs, and convictions are not always mine. The world my fantasy stories take place in, is a rough medieval-ish world where people are far less tolerant or respectful of others. It creates a backdrop for conflicts, thus progresses the story.
I, personally, do not judge a person by the colour of their skin, because I don’t want to be judged by the colour of my skin. I judge them by their character, their behaviour, when it matters - by the culture they come from and the religion they actively practice. You cannot judge this story by the merits given by modern politics.

I'm a bit mad but I'll forgive you if you write a story about young Aereus! :)
I think this is the first of your stories that didn't get a happy ending. It takes courage to do that.
You've grown as a writer since the first story. Keep it up.
Skumjās aug patiesības vīnogulājs, un tas netiks aptumšots.
Not the first one with a sad or tragic ending, but I usually reserve it for horror stories.
Thank you, Joseph!
Tu esi brīnišķīgs cilvēks! Paldies Tev! Tu zini kā likt man pasmaidīt!🩶
The racist undertones weren't lost on me, but it was a decent story, so I can't complain :D
Thank you for reading it.
