This reminds me of some of the old European stories from classics by the Brothers Grimm. Good story.

For some reason, I thought of Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream," but of course, this is more like a Midsummer Night's nightmare. However, one of the elements in both is young lovers in the woods.
