This was such a pleasant read! I love how Jerry uses his music to help Anne forget her pain

I know all too well how publishing houses work these days so I understand why you are not on the NYT best seller list. Keep doing what you do here and someone, somewhere, someday will find you and snatch up your excellent stories. Meanwhile, we get to enjoy really great stories.

Music is a language all its own. It can heal the broken heart and calm the savage beast.

It can even draw friends out of the shadows.

I'm always amazed that publishers turn you down because if I were a publisher, you'd be one of my favorite writers.

My first thoughts on this were that it was sweet, and I felt sorry for Ann. Being all alone in a big city is heart-wrenching, and working with people who yell at you all day is normal. It's fitting that his music drew her to him.

You captured the emotions just perfectly. I read it from start to finish without stopping. My only complaint is that it isn't a novel, so that I could read it all day.

Thank you so much, Joseph!🩶 Your words made me cry. Literally. I’m a bit emotional lately (I mean even more than usual!😅). Must be because the Autumn is already in the air.
