As far as the rants go, I completely understand the compulsion. When there’s a lot of anger/hurt/frustration inside, it’s easy to want to let it out on the page. And if that’s what you have to do to make sense of it, do it. Don’t apologize for that. And you don’t need to make excuses for it either. Like I said, this page is for you.
So please keep being you. Don’t let us hold you back.
Other than letting it out on the page, I usually find music especially helpful at quelling those hard emotions. My favorite song when I’m angry/frustrated is “Believer” by Imagine Dragons:
“Don’t you tell me what you think that I can be. I’m the one at the sail, I’m the master of my sea.”
I rant all the time for myself and not an audience. I write books because the story is in my head and needs to come out. Writing/story-telling/poetry/ranting is all about expressing ourselves for our sanity. If people don't like it, they have the freedom to not read it. Don't let the naysayers tell you how to live your life.
By the sparks of creation by which you are smitten, a force of nature will not shut off by the tantrum of others. Love your passion, because we do too.
I love your writing! The only thing that worries me is that it might be too much for YOU. You seem to be writing at a furious pace that I would find exhausting. If you're okay with it, then, no, you are not writing too much. You have a wonderful imagination and a unique and interesting perspective. I think your words are pure gold. 💜
Thank you so much!🩶 I think I’ll be okay, because I have reduced my stories to flash fiction chapters, which are very fun to write. The hardest part is to write them punchy enough so they would work as stand-alones. The Circus chapters were the hardest part, because they were the most time-consuming, but (heavy sigh) I’ve almost finished them. One more chapter left to write. I’ll miss those guys…🥹 other than that, the Lake is done, it just needs editing.
I love writing. It’s one of the activities that give me energy instead of just taking it.

Write as much as you want! I enjoy everything you do. But even if I didn't, I could always skip some things. I may not like every single item in a restaurant. That doesn't give me the right to tell the management to eliminate the items I don't like.
