And that’s it! The Lake trilogy is done. What’s next? I have a couple of ideas about stories in the same universe. I have one unfinished short story “The Serpent’s hearth” (new characters). I have begun writing the second part of “One Hundred refusals” (if you remember Gema and Ash), or I could get on with writing “The Last Daughter of Dragons”( I wrote chapter 1, and stopped). What do you think? 🙂
They all sound good. I thought that "The Last Daughter of Dragons" was pretty intriguing, but you put it on pause so you wouldn't mix up the readers by simultaneously posting two books from the same universe... that one might be fun. But seriously, anything you decide to post is fine by me. 💜 How's that for a firm decision? 😂 Maybe you can do a reader poll?
Do you mean the voice-over that is provided here? That’s Substack’s AI. They improved it.
The only voice-overs done by real people for my stories are by @Nicholas Kircher (Sunflower, Irises), and @Terrance O’ Domhnaill (his podcast, The Gravediggers of Orpheus, and some short stories).
A beautiful ending to a beautiful story.

What do you use for the narrating voice?
What do you mean? 🙂
