I see why you had trouble finishing this one. Dustin's end is indeed heartbreaking. But he left a son.... 😊 Beautiful, sad story, beautifully written. The love scene that melds love and books was the best I've ever read. You've written another wonderful story. Thank you.

I have a question: I have an idea of how to continue the story a bit further. Not much. Let’s call it an alternative ending (HEA this time), should I publish it next week or would it ruin the current bitter-sweet ending?

I know you didn't ask me, but (imho) I don't think an alternative ending would spoil the current version. There's room in my brain for both. And I would love to see Erin and Dustin and Perseus get to live happily ever after. 😊
