It's such a fantastic premise for a murder supernatural revenge novel! The flowers get all the guilty ones in the end! I loved the description of the woman as a flower. All those good people and their good deeds! Magnificient piece!
Tonight on CSI: The case of the unnamed Wildflower.
When a redheaded corpse is found in central park, the team must find out who she is and why she was killed. They are thwarted at every turn by powerful men who want their secrets kept.
See what you did, Katherine? You and your horror flowers, I swear. 😊👍💕
Imagination really is a strange beast. My kid gave me a wildflower and I stood thinking about its name, and how people like wildflowers so much, but hardly anybody knows how they’re called. Unnamed flowers. Why horror? I guess it leaves a lasting emotional impact. Both when writing it and reading. The horror element gives that depth the story needs, to be taken seriously. Maybe. Ah, what do I know.☺️
It's unexpected. Flowers are pretty, we don't expect the association with horror. But you don't force it, it just flows naturally and it's good. I love your flower horror stories. 💜

Thank you, V! 🩶
Ooh… a horror novel? I don’t have it in me. My darkness comes in small portions.😅
I totally understand!

🤦♀️
Sorry, went for a walk with my kids, saw wildflowers, wrote a flash fiction, oops.😅 Thank you for reading it.🩶
You're awesome. I keep telling you that.
Sooo beautiful and real. The flower metaphor worked really well and I hope that "good man" gets what he deserves ugh.
Lovely piece Katherine, you rock!
Wow, thank you 🩶
A good, strong piece with a powerful message! A pox on those “good” people!
Wow! Loved this. Sad but poignant.
Wow!
Good story, very poetic -- also I like redheads so you got me! thanks
Somehow it reminds me of the little southern towns I spent so many years in. Creepy secrets no one talks about.
Terrific, thank you.
Terrific, thank you.
This is amazing. Picking up some Midsommar, horror-in-broad-daylight vibes on this one. Gorgeous prose.
This touched me in ways I'm going to have to spend some time figuring out. I think we can all identify with the wildflower in some way
Your imagination does the most interesting things with flowers! 💜
