“Well? Since you’re here, I’m presuming you failed,” princess Emerald shook her black-haired head, with the emerald hairpins shimmering in the midday sun.
“You presume wrongly, sister dearest, for I’ve done what I meant to do. I never believed father would let me borrow him anyway!” Princess Jewel scoffed, “I’ve arranged a secret meeting with him here at sunset. Consider our handsome scribe as good as mine.”
“You know he is a Snakeling, Jewel?! Like our father. He’s not allowed to touch a woman before the wedding and…” Ruby said, playing with her chestnut hair, but was rudely interrupted by Jewel.
“He will touch me, even more so, I’m expecting a kiss. No man could resist me!”
Emerald laughed maliciously at Jewel’s confidence.
“Oh, Jewel, if there’s a man whom you could not tempt, this is it!”
“What? You think you could do better than me?!”
“And what if I could?!” Emerald flashed a spiteful stare at Jewel.
“It’s a bet then!” Jewel grabbed her hand.
“It’s a bet! The first one to seduce the scribe to kiss her - wins!”
“Ruby?!” Both exclaimed.
“I’m not… I would not attempt to…”
“Of course, not, silly! Be our witness!” Emerald said.
“Alright,” Ruby sighed and placed her palm on the other two.
The three sat in a blooming, rose-covered pavilion deep in the royal garden of kingdom of Hebeny. Little did they know, a little green snake weaved through the roses listening. It slithered further away until it was out of sight and turned into a man. Timush, the King’s new scribe had followed the princesses into the garden. Now his lunch break was over, but he had heard all he needed to know. If the princesses wanted to seduce a Snakeling - let them give it their best!
Timush finished his dinner quickly and hurried into the garden. He had to be the first one there. The cold-blooded scribe sat reading and swore to keep his cool no matter what. He was a Snakeling, after all! And if anybody could stand temptations, it would be them. But then princess Jewel skipped toward him through the mirky garden, her steps light, and her golden hair swaying. The scribe swallowed hard and delved back into the book but could think only of her cleavage bouncing happily in the rhythm of her steps. Oh, princess obviously was determined to use everything she had to make it a quick victory!
Not today! Timush gritted his teeth. Princess Jewel stopped in front of him with her red dress rustling and her cleavage glaring just above his book.
Timush got up and bowed.
“You wished to see me, Lady Jewel?”
“Oh, yes! I thought you might use some friendly company, since you are new to this court and…” she smiled looking into his eyes, “you look so lonely every time I see you. You must know, Timush, you are very welcomed in this court…” she bit her lip and stepped closer to him. That wasn’t even a hint, princess Jewel moved closer without hiding her intentions…
As much as he wished to keep his calm, Timush couldn’t stop his pale cheeks from blushing. He stepped back until he hit one of the sturdy stone columns of the pavilion. The heavy rose scent made him dizzy or was it his heart pounding like never before?! Princess Jewel moved even closer, standing on tiptoes, and nearing her lips closer to his…
The cold-blooded scribe sat reading and swore to keep his cool no matter what. He was a Snakeling, after all! And if anybody could stand temptations, it would be them.
I think the snakeling overestimates his own strength. He's in for a rude awakening.
Those are very naughty princesses!
